I loaded a photo to show how i lay the board/ wiring out. If your planning to use
a made in china shell the work has a higher level of difficulty due to the riser
you'd mount the board to being right next to the shell wall. You would have to drill your own board mounting hole, I can supply the spacer and board mount screw. The USA shell does not have this issue you will mount directly to the riser.

    Some feedback from past builds:
    Hi Jerry!
    Thank you so much!
    WHAT A WONDERFUL SOUND !!!
Your circuit board is perfect for hendrix, SRV or Philipp Sayce tone.. so nice!!
It will sing, scream and cry the blues on french stages I will play.
    Thank you Jerry.
    France.
Good job on this all around! Sounds great, I'd say 99% close to the real deal but better because the vintage stuff has drifted off into 50% tolerance land, I did compare this to my 66,67,68,69 voxes (im a wah nut..) have sequential wahs from 66 to 77 all revisions :P
    awesome stuff here :)
    USA.
Jerry, I just wanna say thanks, I just installed the board on my old vox and it sound's amazing. my welder skills are not the best but I managed to follow your instructions!!
    Many thanks again!

Regarding this wah PCB--it deserves major kudos. I assume you know who Stuart Castledine is. He is one of the foremost authorities on vintage wahs, fuzzes, etc. Up there with David Main of DAM. I have one of his Standard Wah pedals, and love it. My V848 shell with your PCB is right up there with it. It would be interesting to have the exact same pot in both (currently Chase Tone in the Vox, Castledine pot in his pedal). Other than that difference, the circuit is all that's shaping the tone. Yours is clearer and brighter, Stu s is a little darker and throatier. Yours is also nicely throaty, but either the the circuit's mids are shifted slightly higher or it s due to the pot sweep. I prefer yours for neck pickups, especially humbuckers with gain. I prefer the Castledine for bright, clean single coils, especially a bridge pickup, because it fattens and darkens them slightly. Yours is more transparent. Both are excellent for slightly different things. You re in VERY good company with Stu!

    Mullard/Philips C280 “Tropical Fish”
The Mullard/Philips C280 capacitor became widely known as the “tropical fish” cap because of its colorful stripes, which are used to indicate its value. This cap is a polyester film type from the late ’60s, and you can find it in a lot of tube amplifiers and stompboxes from that era. It’s the magical wah-wah cap as well, so this is your ticket to converting your modern wah pedal into a vintage tone machine. The “tropical fish” term is often mixed up with the Bumblebee caps, but this is simply wrong. These have been out of production for decades but are still available as NOS caps.
