    Description

Here's a vintage WESTINGHOUSE AM Tube Radio that dates to around 1941.  Model is WR62-K2 and it's a Suitcase model.  The front panel is hinged and removable as is the rear panel.  Measures 13" by 9" with wood case covered with a textured canvas cloth to resemble leather.  All in good original condition. Handle on top.  Front panel has 3 control, Volume, On-Off and Tuner.  Tuner does move the dial.  Radio can operate on the AC cord or on batteries.  However, the batteries are obsolete and no longer made to my knowledge.  Radio does power up and dial light works.  There is sound but no stations could be received.  Don't know if antenna is detached or it needs a tube or other service.  Tube Schematic is part of the label. Extra tube in box in the back.  Loose wires are the battery connections.  Worth the effort to restore as it's a nice example otherwise.  G
