ULTRA RARE NATIONAL / MATSUSHITA 1934 CATHEDRAL RADIO
MADE IN JAPAN BY THE MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL COMPANY WHICH FEATURES BRAND NAMES SUCH AS PANASONIC, TECHNICS, QUASAR, AND NATIONAL.
PLEASE NOTE THE STUNNING HAND PAINTED PAPER APPLIQUE SPEAKER COVER
THIS CATHEDRAL RADIO APPEARS TO BE A "TYPE 986"
THIS RADIO IS SOLD WITH A GOOD WORKING  8 & 1/2" ( approx ) SPEAKER --- 1700 OHMS
THIS RADIO DOES NOT WORK
BUT DOES HAVE ALL FOUR UNTESTED TUBES.  THE STATION GRAPHIC HAS SHRIVELED --- BUT THE TUNING STEM TURNS THE TUNING CAPACITOR WITH EASE.  ALSO INCLUDED WITH THIS SALE IS AN ARTICLE  ON MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL COMPANY & SOME HAND MADE NOTES ON THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM.
CATHEDRAL CASE IS MADE OF WOOD.  THE BOTTOM LEFT SIDE RAIL HAS A PIECE THAT HAS BEEN REPAIRED --- SEE THE LAST GALLERY PHOTO.   THE WOOD FINISH SHOWS A LOT OF WEAR --- ESPECIALLY ON THE TOP.
