I COPIED THIS FROM THE INTERNET AND EDITED IT (SO IT MUST BE TRUE)
This Masonic ring is one of the most interesting Masonic rings ever made! The patent design of the ring is available to view online for free on the US Patent website. This is an original J R Wood Secret Compartment ring. Famous for its secret side opening apron, that conceals and never reveals, unless shown. It has an inscription but
I could not crack the code/abbreviation with my research.  It's an awesome piece! The ring is in very good condition as can be seen in the photo's.  There are many copies of this design, but
this is the proper Original, sure to be worth much more in the not too distant future. Most people are taking them to the scrap gold dealers and cashing them in, hence sadly making these Historical Masonic rings close to extinct, other than those kept in collections and the various copies available.
