Philco Model 18 Floor Model Radio Looks Great Perfect for Restoration

Philco Model 18 Floor Model Radio that is a good candidate for restoration.   Unit powers up,  but only emits static - I was unable to receive any stations.  Cosmetically, the radio is in good condition for its age, with the finish all original and simply cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax.   The most wear is on the top of the radio, and the veneer is lifting in one spot near the front edge.  Also there is a veneer sliver missing along the left rear edge of the radio that does not detract from the overall appearance.   The power cord on the chassis is new and the grill is in excellent condition - it too may be a teplacement, but it is very appropriate for the unit.  All of the knobs are in great condition and all turn  smoothly  and properly.  Because of the size of the radio and the delicate nature of the base, I am offering this unit as a local pickup only.  Do not hesitate to make an offer,  all will be considered.
