    Peruvian Pottery Jug with Double Spout and Handle
    Hand Painted Folk Art

    This vintage hand painted pottery jug has two spouts and a handle. The bottom of the jug is signed "Lima, Peru, 75/". It is 7 1/2 inches high and approximately 4 inches wide. The background is a very light gray. Brown, yellow, and green stripes adorn the spouts, handle, and bottom of the jug. The main image is a gray and brown bird with a very narrow beak. Wavy lines and geometric shapes accent other areas of the jug.
    No cracks or chips. There are irregularities in the glaze that I think are part of the creation process: one or two drips, thin spots, paint smudges, dimples, etc. There is shelf wear along the bottom resting rim of the piece and a rough spot where a bit of clay was not smoothed and glazed.
