at the Sportpalais Ahoy’ in Rotterdam [Netherlands] on Saturday, 15th September, 1973, presented by Paul Acket, with English musician and songwriter Nicky James as special guest artist. The concert in Rotterdam was part of an eleven-date tour of continental Europe during September in support of the
Seventh Soourn
album, commencing at KB Hallen in Copenhagen on 4th September and ending at the Ernst Merck Halle in Hamburg on 16th September, 1973. Recorded at London’s Decca Studios and produced by Tony Clarke, the album was released on 10th November, 1972 by Threshold Records. Containing the hit singles “Isn’t Life Strange” and “I’m Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band)”,
Seventh Sojourn
was an instant success, topping the
Billboard
200 for five weeks. Following the completion of the
Seventh Sojourn
World Tour in February 1974, Mike Pinder’s last tour with the Moodies, the group took an extended break due to the band members feeling exhausted and burnt out with travel. The poster comes from the archives of impresario Paul Acket.
The poster is HUGE and measures a massive 82.7 x 110.2 cm (approx. 32.6" by 43.4" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, light coated paper stock (coated on front only). Folded as issued , else in near excellent condition with just a touch of light handling wear.
