Modded Vintage Thomas Organ CRY BABY WAH PEDAL - 1977 #95-910511

Description

Up for grabs is an original Thomas Organ Cry Baby wah pedal manufactured in 1977. I list this as "very good" condition because mechanically and electrically it is absolutely perfect. The outside of this thing has been bounced around from gig to gig since 1977.. so it shows 46 years of honest wear on the outside.
This wah has been modded with the following:
- New 'true bypass' Dunlop DPDT foot switch
- New ICAR taper 100K potentiometer
- New SwitchCraft all metal input & output jacks
- 9V DC power jack that eliminates the need for batteries. (works with any standard 9vdc negative tip pedal power supply)
- THE WHIPPLE Halo wah inductor (hand wound in Brooklyn, NY)
- All new hand wiring with 22awg cloth covered "push back" wiring
The original 1977 circuit board remains untouched aside from the updated inductor. This pedal sounds exactly like a Wah Wah should. This was built for my "dream pedalboard" and would probably live there forever except I rarely use wah and I needed to free up some space on the board so I'm going to rebuild this circuit in a Dunlop Mini pedal and am sending this one off to find a new home.
Since I used this on a pedal board there are no rubber feet on this unit, just four screws to hold the bottom on. If you'll be using this pedal outside of a board or case, you'll wanna pick up some replacement feet. (ECB151 CRY BABY® WAH RUBBER FEET SET can be found all over the 'net for around )
