Modification Description:
Stop your volume pedal from destroying your tone! The Griffin Effects Buffer Retrofit adds a input and output buffers to the pedal. This does two things...it isolates the pickups to prevent loading of the volume pot and removes the series resistance of the pot combining with the capacitance to ground of the guitar cable. The tone that goes into the pedal is now what comes out of the pedal!
What's New!
We added a buffer to the tuner output. This is a selectable option. We will have the buffer active by default but if you don't want the buffer on the tuner active, let us know.
Brighter RGB Piranha LED. Choose from Red, Green, or Blue. Blue will be default but if you want another color, let us know. We will also show you how to change it yourself if you want.
The LED also has it's own on/off switch so you can turn it on or off as you like.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
This kit is for passive volume pedals. After installation your pedal will be an active pedal and require a standard 2.1mm 9VDC center negative power supply (not included). The volume pedals circuit board will be replaced with a new one. Some volume pedals have a taper switch or pot. Installing this retrofit will remove this feature as it will no longer be needed. This retrofit will not work on stereo pedals.

Returns & Claims

In the unlikely event that we have shipped the wrong item, we will refund your entire purchase and shipping in both directions. Please contact us immediately for instructions.
We will process all damage claims with the carrier and may request that you return the item. Please retain original shipping containers and notify us immediately if you suspect damage in shipment.
Damage can occur due to careless handling of sensitive electronics; and for that reason, we can not accept the return of items where the factory seal is broken or the item has been installed.
